Realism High School Art Competition with $2,500 Scholarship

Call For Entries
Students 13 to 19 Years of Age
Deadline December 1 at 8am PST

Check out this special opportunity for students ages 13-19!

Because of DVI’s and ARC’s commitment to introduce skill-based training techniques to the next generation, we are pleased to announce that this year’s ARC Salon Competition will include a side competition for high school students. A $2,500 scholarship will be awarded for the winning high school student’s artwork that can be used at any ARC Approved™ school or program. In addition, the winner will receive International recognition for their artwork, their instructor, and their school through the ARC website as well as publication in the ARC Salon Catalogue, to be published by ACC Art Books, and distributed to the mainstream book market. The work may also have the opportunity to travel in the live version of the ARC Salon Exhibition, which will travel to the MEAM Museum in Barcelona, Spain and the Salmagundi Club in New York City. These works by our talented youth will not compete in the main categories of the ARC Salon, but in a separate division specifically for young students. Many finalist works by students in this age range will also gain recognition on the ARC website and in the ARC Salon Catalogue. If your student attends a Title 1 school and this fee would be a barrier to entry, please write to davinciinitiative@gmail.com This award will be juried by Kara Lysandra Ross, DVI CEO, Mandy Hallenius, DVI President, and Frederick C. Ross, ARC Chairman.

Student Art Competition Announced

Do you know of creative high school students who would be interested in entering an art contest?

Each year, the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Young Lawyers Division (YLD) hosts an art contest for students in

grades 9 through 12 (or the equivalent) in the United States. Students may compete as individuals or in groups.

The ABA is accepting submissions of artwork for the 2017 Law Day Art Contest from December 2, 2016 through March 31, 2017. The theme for Law Day 2017 is “The 14th Amendment: Transforming American Democracy.”

Could you place a notice regarding the ABA’s 2017 Law Day Art Contest on the listservs or the website and newsletter of the Utah Art Education Association?
